Harrison Folk allowed just two hits and one walk in five innings of work Friday, leading Jesuit to an 11-1 victory in Game 2 of the Bi-District series against Mesquite. Jesuit wins the series in a two game sweep, and advances to the Area Round next week against the winner of Rowlett and Waco Midway.

In Friday night's affair, Folk picked up his tenth win of the season, throwing just 65 pitches and allowing 0 earned runs in a very efficient outing. The offense recovered from Thursday's woes quickly, scoring six runs in the first three innings and never letting up.
Austin Sheahan doubled home the game's first run in the second inning. In the third,
Grant Reuben singled home two runs then
Bryce Bonner singled home two runs to build Jesuit's lead. Both Reuben and Bonner finished the game with three RBIs, while seniors
Nic Ready and
Darius Hill also knocked in runs.

Hill reached base in all four plate appearances Friday, thanks to two singles and two walks. The senior hit the
game winning single in Game 1 on Thursday night.

Jesuit now advances to Round 2, the Area Round of the UIL 6A State Playoffs. The Rangers will face the winner of a three game series between Rowlett and Waco Midway. The series is expected to conclude Saturday; check back Monday for a Round 2 schedule.
